I wanted to take a moment to tell you what martial arts means to us. Because while self-defense and fitness are important... it gives you something else too that, personally, I think is even more important.
That may come as a surprise. Most people think martial arts is about learning to "fight" or "defend." It's true that it's a powerful tool to keep you and your family safe from harm… but that's only one aspect of it.
So what is the "true" meaning of martial arts?
And I don't mean being able to stand on one leg! I mean inner-balance: the connection of body, mind, and spirit, into one force.
In today's word especially, these three parts of ourselves have gotten very separated. We spend all day stimulating our minds with computers, TV, media, and more. But while our minds are being stimulated, our bodies are left out. The more we focus just on the mind, the less we focus on the body.
This goes for kids, too! With video games, mobile devices, and more - the connection between mind and body has never been more off.
Because of this, many of us feel "uncentered," including children. We can't focus as much as we're capable of. We can't achieve as much as we're capable of. That's where martial arts comes in.
When you're training in our classes, on the surface it may seem like you're just having fun, getting a great workout, and learning challenging, exciting new techniques. But beneath that, we're also working on your connection to body, mind, and spirit, helping you and your kids become stronger on the inside, too.
Kids build stronger characters, fast. They're able to focus better, pay better attention, they feel happier, they have more energy (but it's a calm energy - not a "crazy" one!). Adults also improve focus, feel more confident, and feel more vibrant.
Things just overall feel "better," and as a result, you and your children live a better life. That's what martial arts is all about, and that's why we're so passionate about bringing this wonderful gift to our community.

Kids Martial Arts
We have a blend of unique elements in all our martial arts classes; techniques, discipline, respect and fun. The outcome: disciplined kids who are well-behaved with a great sense of respect everywhere they go. Parents of the students love our classes too for they have seen their kids perform better in school.
